19-year-old Sam Davies is one of our young Enduro athletes that has come so far in his enduro riding journey.
He has ridden far and wide beyond the British waters! Racing in the best of Europe’s South-Western coast in Portugal, to zooming through the monstrous reigns of the French trails.
We asked Sam a few questions about his MX career;
Q: When did your love for riding begin?
A: My dad rode and bought me a bike when I was 4 and I have loved riding and racing ever since.
Q: What races did you participate in last year?
A: In 2021, I raced in Portugal, France and Sweden racing the World Enduro GP. I also raced in Italy where I crashed and broke my wrist, so I missed a few of the rounds unfortunately. Later on, in the year, I participated in the Weston beach race. I also did all the British Enduro rounds.
Q: Which race was your favourite?
A: My favourite race is the Fast Eddy at Hawkstone park. Hawkstone is definitely one of my favourite Motocross tracks and to be able to do an enduro there is really good.
Q: Out of all of the countries you have raced in, which one was your favourite and why?
A: My favourite country to race in is France. The atmosphere is just like no other and it’s always one of the hardest but best races.
Q: Any plans for the future in terms of your riding career?
A: This year I will be racing in the World and British championship. I hope to be racing comfortably at top in the worlds; and fighting for wins in British.
Q: Your favourite Silverback product to use on your ride/kit?
A: My favourite Silverback product is the SBX6 Goggle/Visor Cleaner & Anti Fog! When I’m riding high up in the mountains, my goggles tend to fog up and I can’t concentrate. But with SBX6 on my goggles, I don’t have that problem and have no worries.
